October, 2000 saw the publication of my contribution to the Complete
Idiot's Guide series, the CIG to Playing the Guitar. This book is readily
available from
D&H Sales. Linda Trujillo did some exceptional hand and technical
drawings for this book. It
differs from my other instruction books in using tablature as well as
notation, with the purpose of making things easier for those who are not
as patient as the dedicated classical guitar student. It also
includes some flamenco instruction and solos. The 2nd edition is now
